Aquarium heating cable is an excellent choice for the some looking to circulate the water in the gravel substrate. The aquarium heating cable is laid along the bottom of the tank in a curving S bend arrangement so that the heat is distributed evenly across the whole substrate bed and is usually held in place by suction cups or can be left free. Once activated the heat of the cable makes the water in the gravel bed rise which in turn carries some of the negative chemicals which can then be eliminated in the filter or by a water change. This helps stop build up in the gravel bed and allows for a cleaner easier to maintain aquarium.
Aquarium heating cable also assists natural plants by circulating the water in the substrate which in turn allows for the release of natural nutrients which assist the plant to grow and thrive. |
