Kent Marine Super Buffer dKH is a pH buffer and alkalinity or carbonate hardness (KH) builder to improve the water quality of your marine aquarium. Kent Marine Super Buffer dKH is a specially designed to adjust the pH level of saltwater aquariums to the range of 8.0 to 8.3 and also build the KH levels which are continually depleted by marine organisms. Kent Marine Super Buffer dKH is the finest buffer available for either fish only or reef type marine aquariums and is designed to mix clear with little or no cloudiness or precipitation. This product will not flake on your corals as other competing products may. Kent Marine Super Buffer dKH is compatible with and designed for use with Kent Marine Kalkwasser Mix, Concentrated Liquid Calcium, or Turbo Calcium.
Average dosage: Dissolve one teaspoon of Kent Marine Super Buffer dKH in a glass of fresh water. Add directly to tank or sump for every 80 liters (20-30 gallons) of tank capacity everyday until the desired pH and alkalinity (carbonate hardness or KH) levels are reached. Remember to wait 1 hour before re-measuring the alkalinity, and to wait 24 hours for the pH level to stabilize, before re-measuring. Note: full pH increase and stabilization may take up to 48 hours. A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.0 meq/L (8 to 11 dKH) is recommended, with 3.4 meq/L (9.5 dKH) being optimum. (Fish only tanks should maintain 3.5 to 4.5 meq/L (or 10 to 12 dKH). After target pH and alkalinity are reached, use at 2 week intervals to maintain values.
