Red Sea Marine Success Buff is a water conditioner which will maintain a high buffer capacity and stable pH level in marine aquaria. The pH of natural seawater is remarkably stable due to its nearly inexhaustible stock of dissolved buffers (mainly bicarbonates), which prevent pH changes. In an aquarium the buffering substances are used up by calcareous algae and invertebrates and they are also depleted by the acid waste products of fish. A low buffer capacity (alkalinity) may drop the pH level, which would be very dangerous to all of the living organisms in your aquarium. Red Sea Marine Success Buff contains the carbonates and bicarbonates of Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Boron, which have been carefully blended in the same ratios as found in natural seawater. When used weekly as directed, Red Sea Marine Success Buff will maintain a high buffer capacity and a stable pH in your tank.
Average dosage: add 5ml for every 120 litres (30 gallons) of tank water per week. We recommend that you check the alkalinity of your aquarium weekly with Red Sea's pH / Alkalinity Mini-lab test kit and adjust the amounts of this product accordingly. We also recommended a weekly 10% water change.
