Shipping And Handling Our Courier Company will attempt to deliver on two occasions and will leave an "Attempted Delivery card" each time. If a successful delivery cannot be made on the second attempt the package will be taken back to their depot for your collection. There will be a telephone number on the card for you to call and arrange this.
If your order has failed to arrive within 30 working days (not to include Saturday Sunday and any Bank Holiday) from the date of Dispatch Confirmation E-mail and you have not received an "Attempted Delivery Card" through your letterbox it is deemed by Onlineaquariumstore.com as lost. Should you fail to report to Onlineaquariumstore.com that your order has not arrived within this time and we have a signature of delivery from our courier Onlineaquariumstore.com will be unable to claim for loss of the item from our courier and therefore unable to replace your goods. Should you refuse to sign for your package other than for reasons of damaged goods within this 7 day period you will be liable for any cost incurred by us for the goods being returned back.
Once we are able to establish that the item is definitely lost we will redeliver the goods, this may take up to 30 days from the date of posting. However should you wish us to dispatch your order again at once you will have to accept responsibility of the cost of this until your claim has been completed by our courier. 11. Regular Parcel & Aquarium Delivery
DUE TO THE FRAGILE NATURE OF MANY ITEMS SOLD BY Onlineaquariumstore.com. INCLUDING AQUARIUMS, IT IS CRITICAL THAT ALL DELIVERIES ARE CHECKED BEFORE YOU SIGN FOR THEM AND THE DELIVERY MAN LEAVES.
If you are not available for the delivery when specified you will need to contact us via email 48hrs before the agreed time of delivery. If you are not in for the delivery you will occur an extra £40 delivery charge.These charges are only related to sepecial deliveries where the date has been specifed by the customer.
Please note that larger aquariums are delivered on a pallet and it is important that you are in to accept the delivery as it is not practical to have it delivered to a neighbour. Unlike courier deliveries pallet deliveries are attempted once only. If further attempts are required an additional charge will be levied by Onlineaquariumstore.com.
All pallet deliveries will be delivered as close to your front door as possible taking into account the limitations of a pallet and pallet moving equipment. If your delivery address is not on the ground floor, delivery will be made as close as possible to the ground level entrance to your building.
For regular parcels and smaller aquariums, courier deliveries are to the front door only (as defined by our courier's terms and conditions). We advise that you make suitable provision for the lifting of the boxes / aquarium into your premises.
Wooden cabinets and stands will arrive flat packed for easy self assembly.
All deliveries are made by a third party and therefore do not include installation, demonstration or packaging disposal.
In the unlikely event that you find the goods broken or damaged in any way you must contact Onlineaquariumstore.com immediately by email (We will also ask you to confirm in writing or by e-mail to satisfy our couriers' terms of trading).
In the event of breakage or damage claim, to have accepted the goods but signed the delivery note as UNCHECKED will not be accepted by our couriers.
YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN EXTRA DELIVERY CHARGE OF £40 IF YOU ARE NOT IN WHEN YOU ARRANGED FOR THE AQUARIUM RE-DELIVERY.
All aquariums are delivered to the front door and are only helped in at the discretion of the driver. Our service does not include delivery past the front door. If you refuse an aquarium for any other reason other than it being broken then it will be returned to us with a delivery charge of £60 for mainland UK, £80 for scotland and £200 for outlying scotland and islands.
All damages and breakages must be notified within 48 hrs of delivery so that we can comply with the courier companies terms and conditions on breakages. |
